Mr. Kwabena Akoto currently serves as Senior Vice President of the International Division at Marsh & McLennan. In this capacity Mr. Kwabena Akoto is responsible for leading and directing client and insurance company discussions on Global insurance programs design and implementation.  He has been employed with Marsh for 11 years.

Prior Marsh, Mr. Akoto worked for American International Group (AIG), U.S.A’s largest insurance company, as a Senior Underwriting Officer, which enabled him access European markets such as Lloyds of London and Munich Re to secure overseas reinsurance and place difficult and complex insurance risks.

Prior to AIG, Mr. Akoto was employed by Europe’s largest insurance company, Allianz Insurance Group where he structured global insurance deals which covered and afforded protection for clients in Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Financial Institutions, Automotive and Manufacturing.

Mr. Kwabena Akoto is a Multinational expert on global insurance programs and regulatory compliance matters. Specifically, over the last 20 years, Mr. Akoto has transacted approximately 500 international and global insurance transactions across all product lines. 

Mr. Akoto’s international insurance experience spans and extends to roughly 100 countries in which he has engaged in high level  discussions with managing directors, country managers, insurance commissioners on underwriting, placement, regulations and reinsurance matters.

Mr. Kwabena Akoto holds a BBA in Insurance (1995) and a Masters in Business Administration (1997) from St. Johns University in New York (formerly The College of Insurance)
