Hon. Kwasi Akoto is the founder and Chief Consultant of Akoto Risk Management. Working with various Insurance Companies within the country and abroad, Hon. Akoto became the co-founder of Great African Insurance Company established in 1980. Prior to this, Hon. Akoto worked with The Great American Insurance Company and was also the Insurance Management Trainee of Insurance Company in the United States.

His role as the Supervising Underwriter at American Insurance Group became a stepping stone in his career and enabled him to be the author of the West African Insurance Institute Syllabus. As a Board Member of both Ghana Stock Exchange and Ghana Insurance Association , Hon. Kwasi Akoto’s experience in the field of Insurance is not to be taken for granted. He was also a Director of Development for the International Insurance Association ,. Insurance Marketing system as found presently in Ghana is due largely to the influence of Hon. Akoto’s 40 years of insurance experience.

As the Chief Consultant of the company, Hon. Akoto is responsible for leading the firm’s effort in new product development and also manages the advisory work conducted for insurance and other institutions. Hon. Akoto has a Multiple-Line Insurance Diploma and BBA Insurance from the College of Risk Management and Insurance in New York, USA. He has an MBA in Insurance Marketing from the College of insurance NYC – 1970.
